7 Core  PVC Insulated Automotive Multi Core Cable is a  flexible general purpose cable for low voltage applications on
vehicle and trailer wiring systems.

Applications include:

  • 12N and 24N Vehicle Towing Socket Wiring
  • Goods Vehicle Semi trailer and drawbar trailer wiring
  • Caravan and Trailer obligatory lighting circuit wiring

    • Automotive grade PVC Insulation with resistance to fuels, oils and greases.

    Cable specification standard  BS6862 part 1 published March 1971 relates to cables with copper conductors (standard now withdrawn)

    Copper cored cables : The conductor is specified by cross sectional area in mm sq.

    Always route vehicle cables to avoid chaffing of insulation against moving parts of machinery.

    Always fit adequate fusing to protect the cable.

    Calculate the correct size of cable required using Ohms law and take account of voltage drop over distance of cable run and temperature or environment where cable is placed.
